So much talk has been generated about conserving energy and not wasting the resources that we have left. There has been an effort being made to shift from consuming the fuel based energy to renewable energy. This includes any type of renewable energy. Instead of using wood for the fireplace people shifted to gas. But gas being a resource that might get used up eventually, there is now a significant shift from gas to renewable energy like solar power, steam power, wind power and even making use of rubbish to generate renewable power. Biomass energy is one such renewable energy source which is biodegradable meaning it does not harm the environment and breaks down comfortably in the environment without harming it. Biomass energy is made from recycled waste products. For example, left over ethanol or the used up ethanol is recycled to be used to run factory generators.

There is a lot of garbage being generated and most of it is harmful to the environment in its current form. Scientists have come up with ways to convert garbage or waste to biomass energy. This biomass energy is a much more cleaner and efficient fuel source, its highlight being renewablility. The companies that have come up with biomass also offer shares to the public which is beneficial as investment in the long term. This energy is definitely the future with many people slowly shifting to this form of power. Currently biomass energy is used for biomass boilers or biomass heating. In the winters, areas suffering from snow, use biomass heating to heat up their fireplace instead of using wood.
This eliminates the need to chop and store wood and also taking care of the wood to be dry. Benefits of using such a biomass, it is more efficient than the firewood and maintains a steady heat radiating from the fireplace. Similarly biomass boilers use biomass to heat up the water in a far more efficient manner and maintain a low carbon balance as compared to other forms of exhaustible energy. Although the initial cost may seem a lot , once installed the running costs are quite feasible and one ends up saving more by using biomass energy. Biomass is stored in the form of pellets made form recyclable material, that is then put into the biomass generator which burns it up providing a larger output of energy than say the traditional energy sources. Many local authorities too are encouraging people to use renewable energy source and are evn giving tax rebates to those who make use of it.
